Dr. Makwana is excited to meet you! Born and raised in India, Dr. Makwana obtained his Bachelors in Dentistry in India and moved to the USA after graduation. Dr. Makwana calls Texas his home in the USA as he studied Master’s of Public Health at Fort Worth, Texas. Dr. Makwana obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery at tech savvy school, University of the Pacific, San Francisco.

After practicing in Dallas and Houston, Dr. Makwana decided to call Austin/ San Marcos area his home. Dr. Makwana is married to his beautiful wife Shreya. In his free time,  Dr. Makwana loves to read books , play and watch cricket, and explore new restaurants and coffee places with his wife.

Dr. Makwana likes to keep himself up to date with latest technology and latest trends with continuous education. Dr. Makwana’s unique international exposure, curiosity , clinical experience, and leadership qualities make him an excellent clinician. Dr. Makwana’s spirit, enthusiasm and happy go lucky attitude makes him a pleasure to have around.

Dr. Varun Kulkarni has served as a Faculty for Periodontics and Implant Dentistry at the University of Illinois at Chicago and Midwestern University.

Currently a full-time private practitioner, Dr. Kulkarni combines his teaching abilities and clinical skills to deliver exceptional patient care. Additionally, Dr. Kulkarni has published over 50 articles in Immunology, Periodontology, Implant surgery, Oral Surgery, Esthetic, and Plastics surgery and has presented numerous lectures and surgical demonstrations. He has also lectured nationally and internationally on dental implants and periodontal procedures. He also serves on the Editorial Boards of many peer-reviewed journals.

Dr. Kulkarni is the recipient of the Distinguished Nobel Biocare Fellowship and Straumann Implant Fellowship.
