Dr. Natassia Martins was born in Connecticut to Brazilian parents. She grew up in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, where she got her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Federal University of Minas Gerais in 2012.

After practicing as a general dentist in Brazil, Dr. Martins continued her education at Boston University’s Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, earning a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree (DMD). During her time at Boston University, she was elected Alumni Member of the prestigious GSDM Lambda Mu Chapter of Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society and received a Leadership Award from the International College of Dentists.

Growing up in a family of dentists, she often found herself spending time in the family’s dental practices, where she witnessed firsthand dentistry’s power to transform self-esteem and confidence. These experiences shaped her passion for dentistry and inspired her to pursue a career as a dentist. She finds the ability to have such a direct positive impact on someone’s life exceedingly gratifying.

During her free time, she loves to travel and enjoys reading, practicing yoga and trying new restaurants.

Dr. Jerry Chiu was born and raised in New Jersey, but is proud to call himself an Austinite. As a child, he dreaded going to the dentist, but the saving grace was the comfort and compassion he felt in the chair by his dental professional. Years later, as a practicing oral surgeon, Dr. Chiu continues to emphasize the importance of providing compassionate care, yet maintaining professionalism and delivering safe and outstanding surgical expertise. Dr. Chiu obtained his doctor of dental surgery degree at Columbia University, where he was involved in international mission trips to Cambodia. He completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the competitive Medstar Washington Hospital Center, serving as chief resident in the final year. His training also included working at esteemed affiliated hospitals, such as the John Hopkins Hospital, DC Veteran Affairs Medical Center, Children’s National Hospital, and the National Institute of Health.

Dr. Chiu practices the full scope of oral surgery with special emphasis on outpatient sedation and anesthesia, dentoalveolar surgery, implantology, oral pathology, and soft and hard tissue reconstruction.

Outside of work, Dr. Chiu is an avid tennis player, scuba diver, foodie, and cyclist. You can find him cruising along Lady Bird Lake or eating his way through Austin in his spare time. He is also the proud father of a French bulldog named Cooper. Dr. Chiu enjoys traveling internationally and has backpacked in over 18 countries with even more trips in mind.

Dr. Dip Desai graduated from Birmingham University where he then transferred to New York University to complete dental school. Dr. Desai’s love for dentistry stemmed from the desire to help people by changing their smiles because that is the first thing others notice. The relationships that he builds with patients over the course of their orthodontic treatment is very important to him.

In Dr. Desai’s spare time, his hobbies are exercising, swimming, biking and cooking. His main goal is to spend time with his family and their dog, Hazel.
