For someone who does not like going to the dentist and does not have dental insurance. I highly recommend Ideal.. I’ve never felt more welcome and comfortable at a dental office especially on the first visit. Awesome experience!!! Knowledgeable, amazing, courteous friendly staff that embrace you the moment you enter the office. Great atmosphere, very clean and well kept. Dr. Makwana really cares about how you feel making sure your okay and comfortable and takes your needs and concerns to heart and does everything he can to build an experience and treatment plan that suits your needs and that works for you he makes sure you know exactly what’s going on with your teeth. They will work with you on pricing and creating a payment plan if needed so that you can still get the treatment and care your teeth need and deserve. I could not ask for better. I am looking forward to my next visit!!

I visited Ideal Dental Lakewood after more than 3 years away from the dentist. I had so much anxiety even just making the appointment, I’ve had bad experiences with dentists and feeling ashamed. But I recently quit smoking and I wanted to get my teeth right. And I’m so glad that I did.
I had a morning appointment and upon arrival, I immediately felt at ease. Ms Morgan checked me in and talked me through what to expect. She also clearly explained the costs – itemized, along with my insurance.
My dental assistant, Ms. Dianna, was very welcoming. She explained all of the new tech that’s been created since I last went. It was like being in a space ship – everything was so fast and Dianna scanned my mouth and made a 3D rendering of my teeth to explore with the doctor! She also entertained all of my oooohs and aaaaahs along with technical questions.
After the worlds fastest cleaning (of teeth that needed excessive scrubbing), Dr. Shah came in and looked at the scan with me and explained what he saw and his recommendations. I had four cavities – and was elated when he said they could fill them today.
In 90 minutes I went from embarrassed smoker teeth to “perfect” teeth.
If you’re putting it off, do it. You will not regret it, and the team at Ideal Dental Lakewood make it so easy. I’ll be back in 6 months for my superfast cleaning before work. Thank you for returning my confidence – I can’t stop smiling!

I was seen at the University Place clinic for an emergency dental extraction. I have had a fear of visiting dentists since childhood because I have always been difficult to fully numb and my complaints of pain have not been recognized and addressed in the past with other providers. The Ideal Dental staff at this location gave me the best dental office experience I’ve ever had. They got me in quick, were empathetic to my feelings of pain, fear and anxiety, and went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable and safe for the extraction. They were also able to work with me around some financial issues for which I am very thankful. I will never go to another office for my dental work after the attentive, competent and kind service I received with the team at Ideal Dental UP!

Did you ever get shamed at the dentist from not flossing enough? It won’t happen here. I’ve received gentle reminders while positively reinforcing what IS going well with my dental health.

Been going here for years, the actual work being done is good, but I can’t take the long wait time. All of my appointments are during the work week and I don’t appreciate taking off two hours every time I have an appointment. I love it here!!! The staff is so friendly and I love that my dentist and hygienist are black women and women of color. The front desk receptionist Ashley and Crystal are awesome, and will work with you to ensure that you have a treatment plan that is affordable. Also love the payment plans that are offered if you cannot afford to pay the entire costs of treatment. If you are looking for a good dentist office , I would definitely recommend coming here!

I met my new dentist Dr Mugianto he seems to be very nice and professional.Usually all stuff is very friendly but this time I was disappointed with a nurse who made my X-Rays, she was very rude, I never seen her before and I hope to not see her again.

I can safely give 5 stars for the experiences we have had so far. 3 of 4 in our family have made it in for our exams and cleanings and were treated with professionalism, courtesy and kindness. Dr. Doan is not pushy, she doesn’t shame you and she is very easy to talk to about concerns. I am pleasantly surprised and pleased considering we are new to the area and didn’t know what to expect. Wow, what can I say . First time at Ideal Dental and I will definitely be back (not only because I need the dental work) but because everything was great.
I was able to get my deep cleaning done and fillings right after my X-rays where at other Dental Clinics they have made me schedule a separate appointment after xrays . With my fiancé and I’s hectic schedule with our kids They were able to accommodate both of us in the same day at different times.
This was a great experience from the scenery in the lobby , to the technology to the staff and Doctor. Incredible!Thank you for understanding my high pain tolerance and resistance to medication and letting me be a part of the decision making in my care and not being pushy. You are all great !
